Job Summary:
The Graphic Design Teacher will inspire and engage students in exploring their creative potential while developing technical skills in graphic design. This role requires experience teaching secondary-level graphic design and proficiency in industry-standard software tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the British Curriculum for Graphic Design.
Introduce students to design concepts, principles, and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Guide students in developing digital portfolios, projects, and visual communication skills.
Foster creativity and innovation while maintaining a focus on practical skills and real-world applications.
Assess and provide feedback on student progress, encouraging continuous improvement.
Maintain an inspiring and organized learning environment with access to relevant design tools and materials.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices.
Participate in extracurricular activities and events, including art showcases and exhibitions.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
PGCE or equivalent teaching certification/license.
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a British Curriculum school.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
