Vice Principal- Curriculum

The Vice Principal of Assessment is responsible for leading the development and implementation of assessment practices within the school. This position focuses on creating a culture of data-informed decision-making to enhance student learning outcomes. The Vice Principal will collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration to ensure effective assessment strategies that align with curriculum goals and educational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee assessment policies and practices that align with the school’s mission and educational goals.

  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze student assessment data to inform instructional practices, identify areas for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaboration with Faculty: Work closely with teachers to develop and refine assessment methods, ensuring they are effective in measuring student learning and achievement.

  • Professional Development: Provide training and resources for teachers on assessment strategies, data analysis, and the use of assessment tools to enhance teaching and learning.

  • Curriculum Alignment: Ensure that assessments are aligned with the curriculum and educational standards, promoting coherence and consistency across grade levels.

  • Feedback Mechanisms: Establish systems for providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding student progress and performance.

  • Intervention Strategies: Collaborate with staff to develop and implement intervention strategies for students who are not meeting academic benchmarks.

  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare reports on assessment outcomes for the principal, faculty, and the school community, ensuring compliance with state and federal assessment requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Assessment, or a related field.

  • Valid teaching certification

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of teaching experience and 3-5 in an assessment or leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of assessment practices, data analysis, and educational standards.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Proficient in the use of technology and assessment software.
